Mandate:

  • To collect contributions of MPEG-4 modules described in HDL

  • To verify the conformance of submitted HDL source code and associated documentation with the requirements stated in the updated "Call for Submission" document N4966,
  • To evaluate the interfaces of each module so that the specification of common interfaces might enable modules submitted in phase 1 to be directly reused for Phase 2,
  • To coordinate the development and submission of new missing modules to prevent overlapping or duplications of submissions.

Mandate:

  1. Apply the IM1 Software Implementation Workplan with the help of the committed partners and produce Systems reference software.

  2. Extend the IM1 software to support IPMP requirements.
  3. Transfer the Im1 software on the CVS repository in NIST.
  4. Provide for software and test streams for demonstrating MPEG-4 capabilities.
  5. Specify a sample application based on selected use-case that exercices MPEG-21 technologies.
  6. Develop a software architecture supporting this application for the Shanghai meeting.

AHG on MPEG-4 IPMP Extension

Mandate:

  1. To refine the current IPMP specifications (produce study of 14496-1/FPDAM3, study of 13818-1/FPDAM2);

  2. Finalize the IPMPX/4 implementation reference software to Im1.
  3. Develop an architecture reference software for IPMPX/2 MPEG-2 and verify that the MPEG-2 reference software can be used as a starting point.
  4. Consider how existing MPEG-2 CA architecture relates to IPMPX/2. Encourage contributions on the topic for the Shanghai meeting.
  5. Produce a WD 2.0 of IPMPX Conformance.
