Forum: Interactive Summit (Services and Applications) Session No: INT.7 Session Title: Interactivity, Anytime, Anywhere Type: Session Room: ARENA Date/Time: Friday, 15 October 1999, 9:30 - 12:00
"Interactivity" is one of the features and buzzwords of the Information Age. Besides the often inhuman interfaces of many of todays information technologies, the potential power of interactivity is hampered by the mainly sedentary immobility of the technology itself. Despite the promises of the transformation of time and distance, the real power of interactivity in the Information Age wont be realized until info-communications technologies are wedded to true portability. This session looks at intelligent agent technology as well as interactive applications in mobile communications networks, and demonstrates how personalized Net access need not be tied to a single place or time.
